Brick & Mortar's Debut Summer Capsule

Brick & Mortar is excited to launch our first ever cut & sew summer capsule collection. This is our first venture into creating our own silhouettes modeled on our customer and we’re thrilled with the results! We started with a slim leg short.

What inspired us? Many Brick & Mortar clients came in and asked for a specific type of fit in shorts, something they weren’t finding in other stores; a short that sits comfortably on the waist, is narrow in the leg, and cut  above the knee. We took that feedback and incorporated elements from our favorite denim, like the five pocket look, a rivet closure and a straight yoke which follows the waistband exactly parallel across the back. For the summer, we chose a lightweight cotton material with just enough stretch to remain comfortable and allow for movement for an active lifestyle. The reception has been amazing! They are comfortable, fitted and perfect for summer. 

The summer capsule short is currently available in black, golden khaki and sea blue, and in July we’ll have more colorways. Customers have really responded to short shorts and we are excited to announce we will also have a mid-thigh trouser short soon!

Although we’ve been making t-shirts for years, we really wanted to create a new silhouette in a fashion tank for our customer. Once again, we took elements from our best selling tank tops and ideas from our customers to create the extreme racer back tank. The tank is narrow in the back, scooping back to reveal the shoulders and back, but not stringy; sexy without being too revealing. A low curved scoop in the front, regular length curved hem and a raw edge finish all around completes the look. We chose a vintage wash, cotton jersey for a soft, relaxed feel. This tank is perfect for every occasion from going to the gym to hitting the bar on Sunday afternoon. They pair perfectly with our shorts or a nice pair of jeans.
